Sweet Shoppe Party

Once upon a time, my dreams came true again when I welcome baby girl  number 2 into the world.  From the moment I first Adele, I realized how much I'd missed her in my life.  She was the sweetest little baby, and we always called her our sweet Adele.  And that was it;  I knew for her first birthday I wanted to use that as the theme.

Such a SWEET girl!  I had so much fun with this party; I made my first fondant cake, and pretty much started my obsession with royal frosting and cookie decorating.  Also the sweet rolls are a go to treat when someone gets a sweet tooth.  The recipe is my take on a Cinnabon copycat.  Before I bake the rolls, I twist two together and put them in a greased muffin tin.  After I bake the rolls, I brush them with a 'looks about right' mixture of butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar.  Then comes the icing, I promise this won't disappoint and can pretty much be used on anything that *could* require icing.

Icing Recipe:
  •  1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 Almond extract (I think this is the kicker)
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • A good squeeze of lemon juice
Enjoy Xoxo
